PLANETE LEGUMES is the only experimental centre in the North East of France exclusively dedicated to vegetable crops. Planète Légumes accompanies more than 500 vegetable producers through a relationship that is based on listening, experimentation and consulting services with the aim of contributing to the development of their level of performance. Created in 1997, PLANETE LEGUMES consists of a team of 13 technicians and engineers, who offer their expertise in the : - diagnosis and recognition of bio-aggressors, auxiliaries and physiological disorders - consultancy in preventive and curative methods (organic, conventional, alternative) - interpretation of soil analysis for a well-reasoned and optimal management of fertilization - establishment of trials to support varietal choices and phytosanitary strategies - follow-up of the innovations in agricultural equipment via demonstrations in fields Our mission is to : - carry out experimentations in vegetable culture for producers. - advise vegetable growers by developing and communicating technical knowledge via personal advice, technical meetings, catalogues and newsflash - be the technical contact for vegetable producers in the North-East of France. - be attentive and provide solutions to the concerns of its members taking into account the issues of the sector and the society. Our cultures : Our trials are conducted on a wide range of vegetable crops : > field experiment : Potato, asparagus, cabbage, onion, garlic, shallot, leek, celery root, carrot, lettuce, lamb's lettuce, turnip, radish, strawberry, rhubarb, horseradish. > shelter crop : Tomato, cucumber, zucchini, eggplant, pepper. PLANETE LEGUMES operates a nationally recognized experimental programme on fresh vegetables - BPE (Bonnes Pratiques Environnementales)- about cultivation techniques, selection of varieties and plant protection. PLANETE LEGUMES is also part of IRFEL, a national network of experimental centres, specialised in fresh vegetable production and whose mission is to share knowledge and experience and to be a unique representative for the institutional bodies. http://www.planete-legumes.fr/
